SETH

Seth is the troublemaker, risk- taker, and rule- breaker. He becomes a shadow charmer.

KENDRA

Kendra is basically the opposite of her brother Seth. She is a scaredy- cat and generally never breaks rules. She becomes fairykind.

GRANDPA AND GRANDMA

Grandpa and grandma own a preserve called Fablehaven. It is a refuge for magical creatures. Grandma doesn't really exist until the second half of Fablehaven. 

MURIEL 

Muriel is a witch. She wants to take over the preserve by freeing Bauhumat. She has a creepy puppet named Mendigo.

BAUHUMAT

A demon imprizoned ... and an enemy to all creatures of light. What could go wrong?

IN THIS BOOK when Seth messes up on a Midsummer Eve, trouble arises. Can he and Kendra save the preserve?
